Graph

The Graph can monitor the suggested CPU activity or Internet activity.

You select what the graph displays by clicking on the graph or through the VBSys Options Window.

If monitoring the CPU:

The graph gives a continuous update of CPU use from Green for Low CPU use (Below 30%), to Yellow for medium CPU use (below 95%), and then to Red for maximum CPU use (above 95%) as CPU usage changes. ItÆs just a general indication about how busy your computer is at that time. Look for programs that use a lot of CPU time and try not to run them all the time as they will impact your system performance, especially when multitasking. If you run a program and the graph stays red, that program probably has a problem and will definitely impact performance.

If monitoring Internet acivity.

The bar graph will show Internet activity in most cases. The graph will show if data is Sent on the Left and if data is Received on the Right. You can select in the VBSys Options window to also show Internet activity in the tray icon which can be used instead of the normal Windows Dial-up icon. The tray icon will tell how it detected you are connected to the internet.

(Staring with Windows XP, there is no such thing as the old Free System Resources so that option is obviously not available any longer.)
